You’re losing me… Blockbuster

The end of late fees!” The headlines scream. Verily, it is written that the large print giveth and the small print taketh away.

They’re not charging “late fees” any more… they are charging a “restocking fee” instead. Well whoop-de-flamin-doo.

But that’s not the worst of it. If you don’t return it by the deadline, it’s yours. They convert the rental into a sale. Return the item within 30 days of the “sale date” and they will charge you the aforementioned restocking fee

Yes, they sell it to you. Want your money back? You’ll have to beg. In person.

This is one of the nastiest and most cynical moneymaking opportunities that I have ever seen, and in my opinion, makes Blockbuster look like a bunch of shysters and scammers.
