Can I talk to to a real person?

"Press 1 for the runaround, press 2 for muzak, press 3 for a complete waste of time…" We've all been there… and none of us like it.

Is this what Customer Service – America's gift to the world – has become? Here is a comforting story about some of the people who design such systems being forced to eat their own dog food. For the rest of us, here is a site to help you get to a real person.

Personally I think that the best way to persuade the customer that "your call is important" is to have a person actually answer it.
